There are nearly 400 mountains and about
140 islands in the prefecture.
The climate
in the prefecture varies the
south to the
north. Take an example of snowfall in winter, the
Seto Inland areas are relatively warm and
rare to snow, but the Chugoku mountain areas
have often a heavy snowfall. As it changes from season to season, the
character of mountains, valleys
and fields
vary with a plenty greenery in
spring to
summer and beautifully tinted
leaves in autumn,
and a fascinating landscape of
snow in winter.
There are many good hiking courses in the
prefecture, moreover many of 13 cities, 67
towns and 6 villages in the Prefectures are
holding traditional festivals and wide variety
cultural events throughout year.
Please experience Hiroshima, exploring and
discovering various parts of the prefecture.
We would also like to let you know about
